Katie and Ryan chose to host their destination wedding welcome party at JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar in Montego Bay, Jamaica, two days before their wedding. It gave their guests time to settle in, recover from their travels, and enjoy spending quality time together before the celebrations officially began.
As a wedding photographer in Jamaica, one of my favourite things is getting to know my couples and connecting with their family and friends. Alongside photographing weddings, I also photograph events, which allows me to blend naturally into the atmosphere while capturing authentic, unscripted moments. The service was equally impressive. The bell staff and concierge were warm, welcoming, and happy to help, creating a wonderful first impression. Inside the lobby, the décor features elegant white and gold tones, giving the resort a luxurious yet inviting feel. One of the first things I noticed was the grand piano near the lounge.
Before the welcome party began, I enjoyed taking a walk around the resort to familiarise myself with the surroundings. While exploring, I bumped into Ryan, who excitedly shared that the evening’s celebration would be held in the resort’s beautiful lounge area. It was the perfect setting for their elegant welcome party, where guests embraced a white dress code while Katie looked stunning in a beautiful gold dress that complemented the evening’s sophisticated style.
