Meet Vanessa Sterling
My style is modern, timeless, and authentic, focusing on relaxed, natural moments that truly reflect who you are. Even if youโre camera-shy, I promise that by the end of our session, youโll feel like a supermodel!
With over 15 years of experience behind the lens, Iโve had the honour of capturing countless love stories and unforgettable moments. You can consider me your second-best friend on your big day, making sure you look and feel amazing.
Iโm based between the London and Jamaica, Destination Wedding Photographer, and will happily travel wherever my little feet can take me (Iโm very tiny!)

My Story in Little Moments
Salsa Enthusiast
I absolutely love salsa dancing. I once went to classes four times a week because I got so hooked! I donโt get to do it as much these days, but youโll definitely catch me spinning my way into a salsa club in Jamaica soon.
Petite & Proud
Standing at 4โ10, Iโve mastered the art of hemming. From taking in the foot of my jeans to adjusting skirts. My trusty overlocker has been by my side for 17 years now (weโre basically in a committed relationship ๐).
Life Between London & Jamaica
I get the best of both worlds… Moody skies and city energy one month, blazing sunshine and bumpy taxi rides into town the next. Jamaica is where I feel most freeโฆ even if the sun sometimes feels like itโs trying to suffocate me! ๐
My Coconut Lip Balm Obsession
I love coconut-flavoured lip balms. The scent instantly takes me back to the countryside in Jamaica (obviously haha), where the air always smells sweet and tropical. Itโs such a small, silly obsession.
Chicken Whisperer
One of my unexpected joys are feeding the chickens. They sprint towards me the second they spot grass in my hand. I feed them through the net like weโre in a soap opera. ๐ Donโt judge meโฆ theyโre part of the family now. ๐คญ
I love details!
Iโm obsessed with detailed shots… The little things that often go unnoticed but tell such a big part of your story. I even bought a macro lens just so I can be extra on your wedding day, ha!
Life Beyond the Lens
When Iโm not photographing weddings, my days tend to start slowly. I stretch, make breakfast, and ease into the morning. Some days that looks like plantain, egg, and bread. Other days it might be cornflakes, or simply sugar cane, an apple, and a cup of tea. I like to listen to what my body feels like that day.
I love walking barefoot on the grass, feeling it between my toes. It keeps me close to the earth and brings a sense of calm I really value. I say good morning to the puppy, the chickens, and the goats, and yes, I do talk to them. Feeding the chickens grass and apple is genuinely one of my simple joys.
Even though I own a washing machine, I usually hand wash my clothes. It keeps me grounded, even if my family laughs at how long it takes me. I still get it done. I hang everything out to dry, then head into town when I need to, picking up fruit we are not growing and stopping to chat with locals and vendors. I like checking in, hearing how people are doing, and staying connected to the community around me.
I hope this brief insight gives you a better understanding of who I am. If you are keen to see me in action, head over to TikTok for all BTS footage.
