Built in 1831 and lovingly restored, this magnificent venue offers a unique blend of classic elegance and modern sophistication, making it an ideal choice for couples seeking to get married in style.
The Bride and Grooms Attire
The bride and groom chose the St Albans Museum + Gallery for their special day, and their decision was rooted in the venue’s charm and grace. The bride, looking elegant in her wedding dress with a beautiful handmade veil, and the groom, dashing in his emerald green suit, had a vision of a luxury intimate wedding, and this venue exceeded all their expectations.
Grand Reception at St Albans Museum + Gallery
Their wedding journey began with a small registry wedding at St Albans Register Office. Following this intimate ceremony, the couple and their guests made their way to the grand reception at the museum. The elegant Assembly Room, had large chandeliers, was meticulously decorated by Cloud Sixty Events. The decor complemented the historic ambiance of the room, creating stunning visuals that left the bride and groom speechless.

The Assembly Room, with its glorious chandeliers and grand balcony overlooking the historic city centre, accommodated the celebration perfectly. The room, capable of hosting a sit-down wedding breakfast for up to 100 guests, provided an elegant and spacious environment for the couple’s special day. The bride and groom were particularly taken with the stationery, crafted by Scribed by Sophie, which featured emerald green place names that matched the groom’s suit.
Reflecting on the wedding day, the venue’s blend of historic charm and modern amenities created an unforgettable experience. The bride and groom’s choice of the St Albans Museum + Gallery was a testament to their desire to celebrate their love in a setting that offered both luxury and intimacy.
The luxury decor was done by Cloud Sixty Events, and the modern stationery was done by Scribed by Sophie. The bride’s hair and makeup were done by Francesca Maria Bridal. The cake was created by Gwyneth Johnson Cake Design.
