I had the opportunity to photograph the ‘East London Supper Club’ event hosted by a passionate chef named Juliette Feller. She organised a plant-based dinner event to raise funds for Save the Children. The event took place at Playground 72 in Shoreditch, London.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the venue had a cosy, homey feeling to it and was very spacious, allowing for easy movement. Juliette was welcoming and made sure I felt at home. After unpacking my bags, I delved straight into capturing the details of the venue – always the relaxed part.
At 7:30 pm, the attendees arrived, mingled, and got to know each other. I would say events like this are perfect for those passionate about raising money for children, vegans, and making new friends – at least you’ll have a few things in common.

Food Presentation
Juliette’s plant-based dishes were plated carefully for the guests. Each dish was presented with care and swiftly served by the waitstaff. All five courses looked incredible, and everyone was blown away by the food.
As I watched Juliette plate the food, I could tell she was dedicated to her craft. She was incredibly careful yet quick – I wish I had her skills in my kitchen! It would save me a lot of time. 😉
Food photography
When it comes to food photography, I enjoy capturing it the most as it ‘doesn’t move’ hehe. The aromas emanating from the food make me want to eat it. Hopefully, you can tell by now that I am a foodie. I use my inner foodie vibes to channel my creativity when capturing food at different levels and angles.
